CCAC Spring 2018 Hopefuls

Nursing Students School Programs

I wanted to start a thread for those of us who have applied, and are anxious waiting to find out if we got in. I can hardly think of anything else!

Let's talk!

UGH still waiting! I had e-mailed Amber Reed last month who also told me that we should expect our letters mid September. I applied before the priority deadline in August, so fingers crossed I get in! Although, I am worried because even though I already have a bachelor's in psych, I don't have microbiology or A&P 2 completed yet. We shall see!!

Nothing today:( hopefully this week.

I keep checking the thread while I am at work because I don't get home until a little after 5. I am sure once one of us receives a letter we will all get one in the same day.. I hope.

I get home late too and I've been checking this thread 3-4 times per dayí ½í¸‚í ½í¸‚. I'm hoping for evening weekends. It's kind of nice to have this thread knowing I'm not the only stressing about these decision lettersí ½í¸’

Still nothing over here! Literally stressing out! Glad I'm not the only one who hasn't heard anything yet though.

My 4 year old said she has her fingers crossed and she hopes an acceptance letter comes today. Me too! Lol.

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who is stalking my mailman and compulsively checking this thread! Lol!

Which program are we all hoping for? My first choice is nights and weekends at Allegheny Campus.

My first choice is the Boyce day program (mostly for convenience of location). Second choice is Allegheny night program. I've got hospital coworkers who are already in most of these programs, and from what they've told me we'll be in good shape regardless of which specific program we get into.

I thought that maybe Boyce day would be less competitive so I chose that program first, but I would probably prefer Allegheny Day, which was my second choice. I'm in between both schools.

Allegheny Campus nights and weekends, since I work M-F 8A-4:30P and I live close to campus thought this would work out best. I hope this option isn't super competitive because I would have to find a new job.

I've *heard* I don't know for sure, that the evening and weekend program is very competitive. Who really knows though since everything that happens in that admissions office seems shrouded in great mystery, haha.
