CCAC Spring 2015 Hopefuls

Hi All!

Just sending out a good luck huzzah to everyone applying for the Spring 2015 cohort at the Community College of Allegheny County.

We can start applying tomorrow and the the deadline is August 15.

I am all done with my pre-reqs and co-reqs, so am excited to get this application process rolling. I am going tomorrow to meet with an advisor to be sure all of my ducks are in a row.

Anyone else out there applying?

Im trying to be patient, waiting for this packet. I just think with my bad luck something will go wrong. I don't know if we can pick our classes or how they place us, and from what I gather clinical is a lottery, so I just have to stay patient and plan on being flexible. :)

The person on here lindszimmie said that the secretary told her we can't pick classes until we go to orientation. That was good to know cus I was worrying too if I should be picking them or not!

Thanks! I am speculating now that the CalU students may have received packets first because it's kind of a separate entity from the CCAC campuses. I just feel a better reading the helpful comments on here and hearing from others who are in the same boat!

Yeah I kinda thought that too. It's crazy how much I'm obsessing about this lol.... I think another person that was in CalU said she didn't get hers.... Grrrrr.... I can't make sense of it. I agree though that it very helpful to be able to talk to others through this site. It makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one!

Thanks for the update Linds. I will update you all when I receive my packet. I haven't been worried about not getting one bc the CCAC nursing program seems to be like this. No communication. Nothings

is clear. Lots of guessing. Annoying but I am not surprised.

Amen to that. However, I think they're slowly trying to change the general lack of communication with applicants. I have to say, that email they sent out before the letters came was very helpful. But not hearing back from sending the confirmation page is frustrating. Then they tell you very specifically not to contact them... like for anything... ever... or else. (lol) It's been hard trying to keep myself from calling and asking a dozen questions. Glad you guys got packets and some of those curiosities will become clear soon! My mail comes so late!!! The suspense is killing me!

Just got my packet today.... I have cpr n flu shot through work so I hope that saves some time! Now to get my loans and get all my stuff!
