CCAC Nursing Program starting Fall 2011, all campuses

Hi all! Anyone accepted into the day program at CCAC North? I am, and I am so excited! I am currently an APCT at UPMC Montefiore as well. I started a facebook page for all of us to share information-you can find it by searching "CCAC nursing class-Fall 2011 (unofficial)." I figure that any information we get from any campus can do nothing but help us as we embark on this adventure! Good luck to us all! Beth

I'm starting the evening program at North. I've been a paramedic for 20 years and can't wait to move on. I should have done this 15 years ago. I'm a little worried though. I work a "rotating pass day" schedule and need to do class and clinicals in the evening, after 3-3:30PM. Anyone know what the clinicals are like? (Sites, times, flexibility, etc).

Hi everyone...I'm interested in applying to a day program at CCAC and wondered how clinicals worked. I see Nursing courses offered are sometimes only one day a week for a few hours...about 3-4 hours. What all does that entail? Just the lecture? Are there separate days and hours for lab and clinicals? It didn't seem right that all was fit in those 3-4 hours one day a week. If all prerequisites are finished..and strictly only the nursing courses are needed..typically when do you have to be available? How many days a week and about how many hours each day?

Thanks!
