CBU ELM Summer 2021

Hello, My name is William. I am waiting to hear back from CBU. I completed the early application, and I am guaranteed an interview. When I reached out to Michelle, she told me I should expect to hear back late Jan early Feb.

I am excited to get this program started!

So I asked and basically they don’t disclose the ranking of alternates, but anywhere between 3 and 10 alternates are typically admitted. They’ll reach out once a space becomes available and if we’re next in line! They’ll continue to backfill any open spaces until the first week of classes!

If any of the alternates hear back with a potential acceptance can you kindly send an update? my curiosity is killing me as march 15th is slowly approaching??

Yes of course! I was just thinking about posting and asking if anyone has heard anything. After March 15th, should we just take it as not being accepted? I was a little confused since they said they will fill spaces all the way up to the first week of classes. 
 

Are you thinking of applying to other programs? I have already started the search and applications ?

I haven’t started looking into other programs quite yet! I definitely plan on reapplying cause I want to start this type of program as soon as possible but I’ll start searching after March 15th. By then I will accept the loss if I must. LOL

I know they’ll be backfilling spaces up until the first week but I can’t keep waiting with no real end date so March 15th is the cut off in my mind!?

Ahhh gotcha! Yeah, literally what I was thinking so I started scrambling to see if I can apply to any programs that will start in the Fall. Most of the Masters programs you have to apply a year in advance so I’m looking at ABSN programs for now. I’m planning to reapply to CBU but noticed the program changed.

Also still waiting to hear about a spot opening up for the alternate list !! I’ve been checking my emails CONSTANTLY. Fingers crossed for all of us. Haven’t started looking into other programs as of yet

The program posted on the website is for Summer 2022 applicants. The program website changed at some point in 2020 and when I went to the information session the person conducting it kept emphasizing that the program posted is for Summer 2022. For Summer 2021, it is a 3 year program and cheaper!

Update: I got invited to go to the program orientation!! Not a guaranteed spot but they said its very likely I’ll get in cause 2 students dropped within two weeks of the start of last years program!!

Hello, I just wanted to let you guys I withdrew my acceptance because I’ve decided to attend a different program. Hopefully, that opens up a seat for one of you ? and you get the email soon that you were admitted!! Good luck to you all.
