Castlebranch Background

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi, I recently completed my castle branch background for nursing and a criminal record was found. I knew I had a record but usually when I apply for jobs, it doesn't affect me at all. I have even been working in a hospital. The case was dismissed with no conviction and no guilty plea but I know schools state that they require a negative or "clear" background check. Would a dismissed case count as a positive background and possibly get my acceptance revoked? For reference, I am in Texas and also in the process of getting record expunged but that takes forever.

If you don't mind....can you elaborate about this criminal conviction about?

Yes , and please don't judge but it's an assault charge-family assault. It was a domestic abuse case in which I called the police on my ex partner for hitting me I had all the bruises and everything but because I pulled the wheel of his car to try and escape I was hit with a charge. They painted me as a jealous girlfriend. They dismissed it once I showed proof of previous harassment and abuse but ultimately I still have the record.

Firstly, not misjudging you. Perhaps speak to the place that have the records. That could be a start?....and have them correct it forever?

Any word?

Yes actually!! I was so worried , but I got an outcome letter from the board saying I was good to do and my castlebranxh background was still approved, I guess since it was dismissed.
