I hope to be joining you! Would you mind sharing your interview experience and questions?
Thanks!!!
Hi! No prob.
Was a 12-person panel (half from CCF) and they asked very general questions: Tell me what a CRNA does? Who did you shadow? Whyd u pick Case?
The whole thing lasted 10-15 minutes tops. I even was a bit tongue-tied but I guess they still liked me :0)
When do you interview? Where ya from?
Thanks so much!! Interview is the 20th.. I'm pretty nervous and knowing there are 12 people in front of me doesn't help!! I'm currently in Dayton but am excited to move to Cleveland if the opportunity arrises.. I have a friend at CCF and she loves it there.. It will be a wonderful experience to train there!
So you didnt have any clinical questions? Any other interview information or tips you have would be much appreciated!
Thanks again!!
There were no clinical questions at all.
The only advice I could give you is if you get nervous like I did just take a second and take a deep breath. It helped me stop stumbling over my words.

trav2CRNA - Congrats on getting accepted at Case. I also interviewed and was accepted to Case last month as well. I was really impressed by what the program has to offer and enjoyed the short time I spent in Cleveland for the interview.
younjt - Best of luck on your interview. While the panel appears to be very intimidating, they ask general questions and it didn't take long for me to feel comfortable. They really want to know why you want to go to CRNA school/Case Western and are really interested in learning about who you are. A word of advice, make sure you get there early or scope out the area the day before. I went up the night before the interview and drove around to find a parking garage because they are doing a lot of construction by the College of Nursing and I'm sure you will not need any more stress the day of your interview.
Where ya from Maverick?
I live in Cincinnati. Do you live in Cleveland?
Thanks for the advice Maverick!! Anyone know how many they are interviewing? There are a total of 30 spots for the 2010 class right?
Im from Cleveland but havent been there most of the last 3 years (traveling and in NYC now)
I asked them in the interview how many they interview. They said since its a rolling basis they dont know for sure but usually around 60 people.

I'm very jealous! I graduate from nursing school in May and I am currently a NAII at UH. My dream is to some day become a CRNA, and I would love nothing more than to go to Case!!! Here's a question for you: do you think they prefer nurses who worked at CCF or UH, or no preference? Isn't the Case program affiliated with UH? I'm a little confused, because you stated that half the panel were CCF people...
There are three different sites for clinicals: CCF, UH, and Summa.
