Carrington College LVN program

U.S.A. California

I'm looking into LVN schools in Sacramento. I called Carrington College to ask about their class hours. I have a 1 year old son so being able to spend time with him is very important. She gave me the run around saying that she doesn't know the hours and wouldn't know until right before the class starts. She also didn't know the class times of the current or previous classes. Weird. Anyways, is anyone a current or previous student who could give me some insight to the lecture hours for the program? Thanks!

When I went (and it has been 11 years ago.) The hours were full time 8-4 or so, 5 days a week. Then once clinicals start, those hours were cut back and clinical hours were added. I don't remember the exact schedule, but it was clinicals a few days a week and lecture the others.. Sorry I am not more help. It has been a while..

I just graduated from the program in June. In my opinion, it wasn't that difficult. I had a lot of time to sleep and go out with friends. However, we lost 50% of our class by the end of the program. Those who failed either didn't study, HAD to work full time or couldn't understand the material for the life of them no matter how hard they tried. One woman did make through the entire program with a C avg while taking care for 4 kids at home and working part time. It all depends on how much you're willing to try.

I am considering to attend Carrington from July. How was your LVN licenses program? How long did it take for you to find a job? please help me, I am very confused whether I should wait for lottery system to kick in for me or go to a private college. Thank you.
