They are accepting students into ASN in some campuses. They are not approved by Florida BON for ASN. Can those students still sit for the NCLEX?
Hi, good morning king 10102 ASA Congratulations. I am very surprised you went to Carlene Health Institute and took your BON in Florida and pass this Month you receive your license. Sorry, I am surprised people have been posting that the school is under review in NY. I am beside myself went to school in Florida Florida College of Health Science took the boards in NY and pass on July 22 since then the school is under review they put a hold on verification/certification being sent to other states. I do not know what to do??
Thank you, Yes its been news to me that NY has been under review. Personally, I haven't applied for a NY endorse license because Im in NJ (which is compact). But I did apply for NJ endorse license; which I should have approved by in a week or so after fingerprinting. Question are you practicing any where? Is your license multistate? If not I would maybe advise to apply for work in NJ until you can have NY license endorsed; granted if you are in greater NY/NJ area.
Hi, kingz10102 this is Mendez you are waiting for your license in NJ. Sorry, but how is that possible when Ny has currently reviewed several schools from Florida? There was a chance that you could send your grades that you pass to other states but now they put that on hold for 2-3 months for certification/verification. I am completely beside myself and don't know what to do. You mention NJ is compact state what does that mean.

Hi Mendez, Because NJ isn't investigating schools only NY that I am aware of. In terms of grades once I completed my schooling I was given 3 sealed transcripts which I could use to send to BON or further education (eg.BSN). So compact means I'm eligible to practice within the states that are NLC(compact). Currently, NY does not participate in this but NJ does. The only reason I chose to get NJ endorse license is that my employer requested I should do so. BUT I can practice in NJ without it because I have the compact from FL (Which I am currently doing with one of my employers).
Have your FL multistate license, after apply to NJ BON (https://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/) for a NJ endorse license.
I went there as well, got my RN then went on to a university and did my BSN. The trouble I have is getting some states' licensure by endorsement. That's a problem because I mainly travel and it is frustrating whenever I am denied an RN license due to attending Carleen school. Some states bypass her school altogether and review the transcript from the University I attended, while others deny it saying her school was the foundation for my higher education... Rock and a hard place...
