Travel Nursing does not offer the best benefits (no ill time, no pension, etc.). Are there any jobs out there for registered nurses that involve travel which are NOT travel nursing jobs?

Chicago New York City - I live in Ohio now............[/quote']So you want to move to these places and get benefits??? If you want benefits that are steady a staff position is your best bet probably. When traveling you can seek insurance privately (at least you could, not sure how the new health care marketplace impacts travel nurses) and then they will be what you want and stable. Or you can take 1-2 travel assignments a year at 13 weeks each assignment and try out the area? I'm not really sure what you were hoping for??

Military? You'd be sure to travel.
OP wants to go to New York....is there a strong military base there that she might be stationed at?
