Career path

I am currently in an RN-MSN program but I'm trying to figure out what benefit an MSN will get me and if I should just stop with my BSN? I've been toying with the idea of going for my NP but if I don't then what's the point of getting my MSN? My end goal is to definitely get away from bedside nursing, I've been a nurse for 11 years and just getting tired of the day to day bedside routine. However I'm afraid the reasons I don't like bedside will be issues I'll be dealing with as an NP and eventually hate that job as well and then all my education and hard work will have been for nothing. Anyone else in this situation or just have any advice?

That's a whole lot of education to get away from the bedside. I have an ASN, make 100K/ year. Market yourself. Insurance companies are begging for you.

Best wishes in your new career.

What do you mean insurance companies, like a legal nurse consultant? I work nights and weekends as the charge nurse and still barely make 60k/yr. Small town doesn't pay the big bucks like what you make. I just applied to a Drs office (less pay I know) but to get off working nights would also be so nice and it will give me the clinic experience and an idea of what I would do as an NP.
