Career Fair @ Sac State

There is going to be a nursing career fair at Sac State on 3/13/2009 in the Redwood Room of the University Union from 11AM - 3PM. Admission is Free, and Bring Resume's! All the big hospitals in Northern California should be there. More details to come :)

Thank you all so much for attending the first annual Sacramento State Nursing Career Fair. I hope you all got something out of it. It is my intention to make the fair larger and more inclusive next year.

I was unable to attend d/t illness but can you tell me some of the hospitals/organizations which were there and how many organizations attended? Also, do you only plan to hold it in the Spring?

Glad to hear it was a success. I was a member of the nursing leadership club when I was a student and we were unable to hold a Nursing Career Fair d/t lack of employer interest. This was in Spring of 2008. If you feel comfortable to share, how did you get potential employers to attend? I'd like to be able to pass along the info to the club's current leaders. Sutter, UC Davis Med Center, Air Force, Army, a travel nurse company... did I miss any. Honestly, no one was actually hiring. The most positive thing I heard was, "well we DID hire a few grads in January, so it does happen." DISMAL!!!!
