I'm debating on my future career choices. I'm currently working at NYP Brooklyn Methodist and was planning to transfer to Cornell in about a year or so. But I love the culture of Brooklyn Methodist so much and it's closer to me. Also, since Brooklyn Methodist hires new grads, my coworkers would be closer to my age while I hear Cornell are usually the older nurses. Should I stay at Brooklyn Methodist or transfer to Cornell? Would working at Cornell really advance my career much more than a regional hospital?

Where are you getting this odd information?Career advancement? Depends on your degree, the rest is experience but if you looking for away from bedside then look at requirements for mgmt.No one hospital that employs thousands ,has only one demographic, only seen that once in a tiny local suburban hospital. They were all great nurses regardless.I would worry less about age than colleagues that preferential treatment.
