I am completing my dissertation at Capella- they don't have a Nsg Ed PhD per se but there are several RNs in the program that have joined forces to get thru it (don't we always seem to congregate?) It's been a great experience- I really like the way the online courses are run- and I did very well with my course work. Getting into the dissertation mode was more difficult. I would encourage you to pick your dissertation topic as you work through the courses- if not its too difficult to get into it at dissertation time. Either way- I liked Capella very much and am glad its almost over! I graduate in December (yeah!)
Thanks so much. They actually have a new Nsg Education specialization that I will be starting. I'm getting ready to go to my first colloquium in VA. I appreciate the tips toward dissertation phase. I have a few areas in mind that I would like to do my dissertation on so I am going to try and keep doing papers/projects on the topic. Any tips on getting through the classes. I have the first theories of doctoral learning (wrong title but it is the core that people need to take) and I have a course on Nursing Faculty Roles. I already bought the books etc. Ready to go.......Any info is helpful. ---

How are you liking Capella? I just saw the PhD Nursing Education program. I am intersted to learn more. How is it? How are the classes? I am getting my MSN - education right now and will graduate next year. Just looking ahead to other programs since I will be going on for my doctorate. Thanks for any info you can pass on.

Looking for information on Capella University. I am very interested in their PhD:Nsg Education program. Has anyone graduated from or in the process of taking courses at Capella? I received my BS online f/b MSN in a traditional setting. Thanks!
