Capella University RN to BSN Flexpath - How long did it take you?

Currently in the program and I am wondering how long it took some of you to complete. I am doing pretty well I think but just wanted to get a general consensus.

I only have the 8 core classes to do. I had AN OBSCENE amount of classes I had taken in the past in addition to the Nursing Associates in addition to some upper-level classes so that was good.

Hopefully will get this done in one billing cycle ?

Thanks!

I took two weeks and 2 days off from work To concentrate on all things Capella and finished in 24 days. I was always in 2 classes at one time.

You can register for a second class the day the program starts and you most likely will have access to blackboard the Friday or Saturday before your start date.

If you haven’t already - Join the RN to BSN Capella group one facebook. It’s VEEEERRY helpful. Talks about ways to help, good instructors, and it’s also a great motivator. It helped me a lot!

WWooowww! Super congratulations!! That is amazing! I am definitely going to request to join that group right now. Thank you for this information. I am hoping to finish within the first 12 weeks as well.

I’m starting Capella flexpath RN to BSN in October but I was just told that I still need to take one humanities class. Anyone have to take a humanities class prior to the core nursing classes? Which class do you recommend that is easy? Any reply would be appreciated thank you.

Hi ?   I personally didn’t need any additional classes but I can direct you to a place I mentioned above.  If you have facebook I HIGHLY RECOMMEND joining RN TO BSN CAPELLA SUPPORT GROUP.  They have posed that question numerous times about which additional elective to take and which to steer clear of.  It’s also a HUGE reason I got through the program.  It’s very helpful and very motivating ?.

Best of luck in the Program.  My name is Sean.  You may see A LOT of my posts in the facebook group if you join ?

Thank you! Can I join even if I haven’t officially started the program? Because I start in October.

hi

im also starting the program this month (october) , I start tomorrow oct 12th.

I just sent a request to get into the facebook group.

I am so overwhelmed, im not the best writer, let alone using APA.

I find it so annoying.

any recommendations on a software or websites that can make t your paper into APA?

also, any recommendations as to how to register for classes. I want to try and take as many as I can. Do you register for them at the same time, or do you cycle them. for example (register for 2nd class once you have submitted your last assignment or while you wait for your final grade, etc)

Wow - lots of questions. ?

- finished in 23 days.  I took off work to just do school.  My life was Eat/sleep/school.  I don’t have kids and have an abundance of PTO days.  But Indont recommend doing it that quickly.  It was a little overwhelming.  Whether you finish in 23 days or 12 weeks.  The end result is still the same.

- I always was registered in 2 classes at the same time.  You can only be in 2 simultaneously.

- APA - I am familiar with it so it wasn’t a big deal for me personally.  the PERRLA add-on in MS work was a godsend though.  It formats your title/reference page and keeps a reference library in case too you the same reference twice.

-You don’t have to be the best writer to do well.  If you get your point across, use the appropriate amount of resources, and follow the rubrics you should do fine.

-The best resource was the facebook group.  Once you get in there there’s A HUUGE amount of posts regarding who are good instructors.  It often will have guidance on some of the harder topics.

-I am in also NO WAY one of those “have to get an A” people.  If you are great, that’s fine, but it may take a bit longer with revisions.  I am Very happy with a B or a C here and there.  Like I said before.  The end result is the same #BSN.  If you are in the RN to MSN program it may have different grading requirements.  I only went for BSN.

Hope this Helps and best of luck ??

I know this is old, but in case anyone else is wondering the same thing, I took Bio Ethics and enjoyed it.
