Hello everybody!
I am creating this thread in hopes that it could help people this year or in years to come. After casually looking for a while, I haven't been able to find a thread for Cape Fear Community College- ADN 2016 applicants. So, here it is :)
My name is Becca and this is my second year applying. I've taken the PSB and have my scores back already. From doing the point count last year, I calculated my points this time to be around 350. From looking at past post and talking to some previous applicants, it's all a gamble until everyone takes the test! (Counseling doesn't whisper a word so don't waste your time!)
These point counts do not define us as people but it is a heavy number to carry until selections are made in March/April so please feel free to off load that number here if you want! Telling someone who is in the same boat might help :)
If you might be stalking this thread, that's fine!! I hope you find whatever you may be looking for and though I can't speak for everyone, I can say that I'd be happy to help in any way possible.

Hi Becca. I came across your post... Just wondering if you made it in last year? I have applied for fall of '17... In the waiting stage now for point count and acceptance letter.

I also applied for Fall 2017. Have you heard anything about the point count this year? range?

I've also applied! They, as in the counselors, don't say anything in regards to whether or not you're going to be accepted. It's frustrating but understandable.
Hi SR. Nothing regarding range.. I was told that they had a record breaking number of applicants but that out of those (close to 400 I think) they lost 100 due to PSB testing.
Definitely go in for the point count. I was missing a point for a chemistry class and they gave it to me. Just a single point, but if I didn't get in because of it I'd be pretty upset :/
best of luck!!
Thanks, Yikes, 300 applicants!!! I did my point count over the phone and it was accurate. I didn't expect to be competitive, as I have not completed all of my pre-reqs. I also transferred all of my classes to CFCC and they did not accept two. I thought I would give it a shot - who knows!
