Can't pass HESI, but graduated

Nursing Students HESI

Updated:   Published

So I was not able to pass HESI by a few points. However, I technically graduated from my program. If I take NCLEX and pass, will the fact that my transcripts will say incomplete hurt me when I look for a job or decide to go for my RN?

Hello, were you able to take the NCLEX without passing HESI at ICHS. I am in the same boat. Please let me know. Thanks

Did you find a solution? Were you able to take NCLEX?

Hi,

I am able to take the NCLEX and waiting for the board to approve my application.  I guess I am considered a non graduate but completed the hours and program. It’s so backwards because I got a letter stating I was expelled from my school for not passing the exit HESI but then I was able to walk the stage and graduate with a certificate for completion of the program.  It’s so shitfaced backwards!

This is wonderful ! Yeah I heard you can do that as a non grad in California but you won’t be able to work out of state or go for further schooling like a BSN etc .
good luck

You're 100% right. I didn't pass the HESI all 3 times. School still sent in my paperwork. I took the NCLEX passed and I'm state licensed.

What state was this in? Was this a public or private school?

Hey there, I sent you a private message please contact me.

@neeterz what school is this from? Were you able to sit for CA NCLEX? I've been looking into this and can barely find anyone in the same situation. Thx!

We're able to sit for NCLEX but can't move on in our education.

Yes, I am in California

@neeterz aww man. what is it considered? 30-unit option or non graduate? because not all RN programs require exit exams- technically if you pass ALL nursing course reqs you have more than 30-units. Can you private message me thanks!

Hi Myra what is the process, I failed the HESI and am from California. I just want to sit down for the nxclex.
