i am also a new nurse grad from PI who came here in South CA on a tourist visa . no experience as nurse. took NCLEX here at CA. able to get a sponsor but here in Southern CA. i started working last may 3.
I'm an RN from the Philippines with Texas RN license. I've all the required documents including Visa Screen Certificate. My problem is that I can't find a hospital/agency that's willing to sponsor me because I don't have hospital experience. I graduated in 2003 and I worked for half a year for a colon hydrotherapy center but that was it. I'm here on a tourist visa, which will expire in Sept. Does anybody have any word of advice? Thanks in advance, y'all!

That must be so difficult for you. I am nervous enough with 16yrs experience, but then I think hey a sick patient in the UK and a sick patient in the US- what is the difference

That's great news! How did you go about? Are you working in a hospital? Any tips on where to go/who to contact/what to do? Thanks!
