Cannabis, the cure all?

Published

Does marijuana really cure just about every ailment known to mankind, or do you also need coconut oil to augment its curative properties?

Maybe Cannabis doesn't cure anything, just like statins and opiates and HTN drugs and conjugated antibodies and so on do not cure anything. (Though the conjugated antibody therapy and some immune therapy work amazingly great for some people/some diseases.) Just like all these other accepted chemicals help some people, maybe the chemical(s) in Cannabis can help some people to live productive and stable lives. Yes, a lot of people jump on new fads and Cannabis is a new fad. People jump on other medical fads, too, like SSRIs and surgery to help with back pain and low fat diets and the newest chemotherapy and coconut oil and ice and so on. All of these work for some people and not for others. Shoot, hypnotism helps some people to clear from warts - the MD who found this out couldn't believe it himself but his colleagues urged him to investigate it.

There is nothing that works for everybody, but, hopefully, there is something that works for you . . . or you . . . or you.

It may not cure everything but it'd a hell of a lot better than the garbage we give our patients for anxiety and depression. We give the most dangerous and highly addictive crap to out patients because years ago they decided to make Marijuana a schedule 2 drug. Boooo. Yet alcohol is perfectly legal and killing people every day. I don't get it

Dope is Schedule 1! Not 2.

See DEA / Drug Scheduling

"Schedule I drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse."

From what I understand, because marijuana is Sch 1, it is very difficult to legally do research with it. Nice Catch-22.

I've not done any research on marijuana with coconut oil - but I have looked at how tumeric which was and is used to dress wounds in Asia Minor needs a catalyst like fresh ground black pepper to maximize it's anti-inflammatory properties.
