Hi everyone, I just have a question if anyone can help that would be great. I graduated from a nursing program in Canada, but did all the necessary paperwork and wrote the NCLEX exam in Maryland last month. I passed so now have RN licensure for Maryland. However, things have changed, and now I would like to work in Florida. I was wondering what I would have to do to get my RN for Florida. Do I have to go through all the original paperwork again?

You can apply for licensure by Endorsement which you can obtain from thier website http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/nursing/
You dont have to retake the test. But before you move if you already have a job where you are start searching now for the florida area. Not many jobs in florida depending on where you plan on moving. I know in my area new grads are stuck and experienced nurses looking for jobs too. One of the major hospitals in my area are laying off. It will depend on where and what you plan on working in. Hospitals right now are a tight fit to get into unless you have recent 1-2 years bedside experience. I'm on unemployment myself right now which stinks as the max you can get in florida is $275.00/week
