I got into an accelrated 1 year bsn nursing program in the u.s. i am a canadian citizen. I'm worried about TN VISA and JOBS for canadian citizens.
The fees are $80 000. So I dont just want to do the 12 months and then find out that I cant get a job in the u.s as an RN because I am a CANADIAN.
I know I can work on a TN visa but how willing are hospitals to give employment letters to fresh grads who have just passed NCLEX and are canadians.
Also, even if I came back to canada I dont knwo how willing my province will be , in even giving me a chancae to write the crne. They might say that the 12 month program is not enough . Then I'm really screwed. Please help .
What should I do?

Check with your provincial college before you pay out the cash.

Jobs are extremely tight in most regions of the country. Hospitals aren't hiring many new grads, whether they're American or not. No one can give you much assurance on that point.
That's an awful lot of mney for a one-year program.

Do you have an undergrad degree yet? If so why not stay in Canada and do one of the 2 yr accelerated BSN programs or the RN/MSN program. It will be a fraction of the price, approved in Canada and one one yr longer than the Texas one you found. $80,000 sounds insane for one year. You will working for a decade to pay that off!
I am not sure that it will be accepted in Canada as the BSN here is 4 years. Unless there is really heavy prereqs going into it that cover most of the courses in the BSN here, I doubt it will count as equivalent for the CRNE.
