Hi guys,
I am new grad nurse that graduated in 2018 with my ADN. My question is can I work as a home health nurse for a few months (need $$$ to finish my BSN) and then apply for NEW GRAD RN residency and still be considered a new RN? I am in California if that helps...thx!!

You are usually considered a "new grad" for the first year after graduating. They may consider home health a slight bit of experience, but not relevant to floor nursing. Perhaps the "new grad" year may be "reset" after getting your BSN.

One year after graduating. Home health has nothing to do with it.

My employer states in their residency description that you have to be less than one year from licensure.
