I am a BSN new grad and was recently accepted into Hampton University in Hampton, VA for their MSN/FNP program. I have been told by some locals of this area (I am new from Arkansas) that since HU is a traditionally all-black university founded by Booker T. Washington that I would be the ethnic minority (being white) and could qualify for a minority scholarship. Does anyone know anything about this?

Hey , yes you should qualify i attended HU great school, didnt get minority scholarship i'm african american, but anyways you should also look into i think its called vtap -virginia tuition assistance grant, its avail for students at private school which HU is. I was able to use that at Hu,good luck
Nadia, thanks for ur reply. Do you have to have been a VA resident for some time to get that vtag thing? How would I go about asking about a minority scholarship? Do you know anyone who has qualified for that?
