Help!!!! I suffer from hyperhidrosis, my hands can get very sweaty especially when I am nervous. I have always wanted to be a nrse, but I am wondering if I can do it with my sweaty hands. Does anyone out there work everday as a nurse
with this same problem, do your patients ever complain? I have tried Drysol and it works a little, but was wondering if I should look into a different career path even though this is what I really want to do? Thanks for your advice!
Did you ever become a nurse? I am in nursing school and just started the labs/clinical part and I am mortified about having to touch people with sweaty hands. I know once I am comfortable in a job it won't be a problem but I have a lot of anxiety around the learning process. PCP just put me on citalopram to see if it would help! I'm hoping it does!

I have palmar and axillary hh. It has been a trying issue to deal with to say the least. I am going into nursing as well and I am always concerned about people finding out. I am not going to let it stop me though! I made it through all those prerequisites after all! I recently had the miradry procedure done. I could only handle one treatment. It was literally awful. It did lower my sweating quantity slightly. I still have another treatment that I already paid for to do...one day I will get brave enough to go back in and finish it off. If you have pain tolerance look into it. Quite expensive and insurance does not cover it...but I know how hard it is to live with this condition. Keep your head up!
