  1. I had the exact same problem! I thought my ears were jacked up, lol. I bought a Littman Cardio III and can hear so much better than on the one I bought from the school bookstore. I found I was looking way outside of normal ranges and once I realized that, it was much easier to pinpoint the systolic and diastolic. I practiced on my husband like crazy and I passed my skill labs in CNA class, so it worked : ) I knew I needed to conquer that for my ADN classes and the sooner the better! I say best stethoscope you can afford and practice tons!
  2. I GOT IN! Out of 125+ applicants only 32 were accepted...and I was one of them! I am so very excited! Just wanted to share with people who understand how great this is!
  3. Thanks! I have about five days and I will be at the mailbox every day waiting for its arrival! Aaahhhh!
  4. Next week! They mail the letters out between the 10th and 13th. I am so nervous! Plus, we get letters the week of clinicals for our CNA class.
  5. Check out edukan! I took both A & P I & II online! Did dissections, labs, and it was fully transferable to my local CC! Seriously, I was in the exact same situation! They start often and you can probably get right in.
  6. I am so nervous at this point! I sent in my application early January and was fine until now! I am expecting my letter around June 14th! Anticipation is killing me! Eeekkk!
  7. Yes, I took all of the possible tests. I will be taking my last online pre test tomorrow night so it is fresh in my mind. I have studied so much, but still feel unprepared! I can only take the test 1 time a year, so I have to make it a good shot!
  8. So I am taking my Teas V this Saturday after a month of on and off studying and a few weeks of hitting the books hard. I purchased the study manual, both of the pre tests and have gone through all of them. I do plan to take my last B test Friday. I took A & P I last semester, which i got a B in, and am 8 weeks into A & P II and Biology now, with As in both. My pre test scores were pathetic. I got a 65.3% on A test #1, a 72% on A test #2, and a sorry 61.3% on B test #1. Am I doomed? I am so nervous that my scores will not be good enough. So far I have a 3.5 gpa in my prerequisites, and a 3.7 overall gpa. This gives me 70 points, plus the2 classes I have taken which they give me 1 point each, and then my TEAS V score added in. What do y'all think. Does anyone who has taken it have any suggestions or tips. I know it is basically up to what I know now, I am down to the wire. Sorry I am rambling, I am so nervous and have been talking about the test nonstop for awhile and my husband is half over it. Lol.
  9. For sure! I will look into that link, thanks : )
  10. There is so much to do there, you won't have a problem filling your time! If you like antique stores, Mt has the best. Missoula is full of fun things to do, a very artsy town with lots of diversity. Helena is fun, too. There is a hot spring right off 90, right before Missoula. It is a local spot that many people don't know about. When you are heading to Missoula from butte, watch for a place on the right that looks like a riverboat, about 2 miles or so west of that is a small body of water, park right past the bridge and walk back to the hot spring. There is a waterfall back there and you can swim under the rock into a hot pool thing. Very cool! Try to go there during week, locals lock it down during weekends. There are ghost towns that you can go explore, pretty neat. Also in Deer Lodge is the old prison and you can tour it...very cool! Look for the Amish folks around town during the week and buy some pies for taking home, you literally can't go wrong...best food ever! I could keep going, fly fishing, backpacking. It mostly depends if you are an outdoors person or not! Let me know if you want any other recommendations!
  11. I love iTunesu! I have so many lectures downloaded and listen to them while getting ready and cleaning!
  12. iPad apps! They really help with flash cards, tutorials, and audio lectures. Someone else mentioned itunesu and that is an amazing resource as well!
