  1. Thanks, for your comment. It was directed to someone who has gone there, and has experience with the process.
  2. I've only had to supply my degree from the University I graduate from. Being that NCC is so competitive, and I didn't do great 15 years ago, I guess I'm worried.
  3. I just spoke to someone in admissions, and they said they need my HS transcripts, along with my proof of conferred degree. If this is the case, I'm in trouble-yikes. Does anyone know if this is true? Thanks!
  4. Anyone know? I emailed the Director of Admissions, but nothing yet.
  5. I have to check out the podcasts, too!
  6. Thank everyone! I ordered the coloring book and flash cards off Amazon, and buying a white board today! Thanks for all of your suggestions!
  7. I'm taking A & P 1 over again. I took it 8 years ago and earned a C+ in it. Acceptance is based on pre-req GPA's and if I don't get an A, I have a very slim chance of accpetance (like most of you I'm sure). Any tips? I really want to kick butt in this course! :) Thanks everyone!
  8. Can anyone help with my questions?
  9. Hi everyone. I'm retaking two pre-req's in the hopes to get close to a 4.0 before applying to the program. I have a BS, live in Nassau, and have most of my co-reqs. I have micro, but its a 3 credit so need to take that over. Do you know if they accpet regular 4 credit micro or does it have to be medical micro? I'll double check with them of course, just curious if you know. Also, what is the Fall day and evening schedules like? One more question, Fall 2013 they are beginning to require the TEAS, do you know how it will be scored? Thanks! Any info is helpful! I went to a nursing info session last yeat, but things have changed so plan on going again soon.
  10. I want to sign up today, and thought CHE 107 (General Chemistry, 4 credit) was acceptable. I know Stonybrook accepts it, but want to apply to as many programs as possible. The advisor here told me to sign up for CHE 131, 4 credit, which is General Chemistry 1. I don't want to sign up for a higher level if it's not necessary. Is anyone familiar with this?
  11. Oops, I meant to spell Stony Brook (as in SB in NY).
  12. Hi everyone, I've been interested in going to Nursing school for quite some time now. I have a one year old and pregnant again. I have my BS in PSY, but because of the little ones am thinking about the two year program rather than the Accelerated BS. I have most of the pre-req's besides A&P 2, CHEM, and Micro. I have an online micro, and hoping that qualifies for the extra BIO/CHEM class required. Anyway, I'm hoping to get these finished now so I (hopefully, if accepted) can start the two year program when my youngest is one year. Does anyone knoe if they accept online lab classes? If so can you rec an accredited online college? Also, any info on SB 2 year program would be helpful! Schedule, anything?! Thanks!
