Can you renew CPR online or do you have to go to a class?

Any idea where to look if it's able to be done online? Thanks!

Anywhere that I've ever lived/worked, you had to renew "live" because part of being recertified is getting checked off on the physical skills.

Yes, well you can go to http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=3019553 do the online work and find a training center to do the hands on check off

Yep, that's how I've done mine for the last two renewals. Just take a copy of the online class certificate to the center and get checked off on skills.
