I am coming over to Florida from the UK to do my NCLEX next week and I have already had a tentative offer of a Job on a Med/Surg Ward.... what I would like is what you think would be a good book to get to help me understand Med/Surg - diseases/procedures etc! Something that I can refer to if I come accross something I am unsure about...All I have at the moment is NCLEX books and my UK books which will be no good to me over there (NCLEX books I dont want to look at again presuming I pass...LOL and my UK books are ok but I need a good american book)
Thanks in advance...

Thank-you very much!:)
I have the Incredibly Easy Nursing Procedures Book and it's great. The book gives you the how to , the supplies needed and the "alerts" to be aware of.:)
Just ordered and received this one in the mail today ! Great book !I used several of their other ones while in school, and loved them !
Now I'm going to bury myself in this one until I'm the BEST med/surge nurse on the planet !!!
Hey... wonder if they put out a "procedures" one?
Any recommendations for a great "nursing procedures" book with lots of good pictures and descriptions? (strictly PROCEDURES, now)... I love my medsurge book from school, but it weighs a TON and I want one more just for procedures only.
