I have registered for both of these classes next semester but I don't know yet if they will actually let me do this. Can these be taken together? Will I have a really hard time in Micro? The last biology class I took was my freshman year of highschool, 1992!
Kkalasa - I am also trying for Spring 2012 and was thinking micro and AP2 in the summer to apply in the Fall but worry it will be too much. Do you think it looks bad to being taking micro as you apply (taking it in Fall) or that I should just get AP1/2 and micro done so I have those grades finished for the applications?

i was just mentioning. i already have a bachelors in biology, so it was a non-issue for me - but i know that our local schools require biology 101 before taking higher level courses in that area. They also required specific math classes before being allowed to take Stats as well.
Sometimes it is not the school where the pre-reqs are being taken, but the school that one will be applying to that has the requirement for a class.
For example: i know that at U of Penn one has to have a college basic biology + lab class (or higher) w/in the past 5 years for application in addition to the A&PI&II, Micro, Chem, Stats etc...At U of Maryland they gave us w/in the past 10 years for all of these classes - so check that out!
:)
Getting all of the requirement of all the different schools that one is applying to covered can be a bit of a frustrating process to say the least but it is better to have all of your bases covered before sending in the application!
