I know RNs can work overseas with their license but can LPN/LVNs do the same? I feel like I want to see the other part of the world..Anyone have experience in this matter..I know some RNs thrive to go out the US to work and see the world..
Hi! Actually I am determined to study LPN here in the Philippine but i'm worried:confused: and confuse if I have the chance to go to Australia and work as a LPN, would they accept or is it credited to them the LPN from the Philippine. I heard from my friend that even though you are a Registered Nurse from the Philippine, you still need to study in Australia for one year for you to work as a Registered Nurse. So how about the LPN?

Questions about whether qualifications will transfer from one country to another are better asked in that countries' forum. You will find more accurate answers posting your questions and concerns in the Australian forum.

Good Luck
HiIf Australia and the USA are using similar Nursing structures ie. Level 1 and 2 Nurses ( RN and EN in Australia, RN and LPN/LVN in the USA ) do they recognize each others EN - LPN/LVN qualifications?
That would be a question for your Nursing Council (http://www.nursing.edu.au/FAQ), although it may vary from territory to territory.
Hi there...question...if i'm from canada and working as an LPN, can I also work in th US?
You would have to contact the Board of Nursing (BON) for whichever state you wish to work. Each of the 50 states in the Continental United States has their own set of regulations which apply to their state. Some state licenses are good for many states, some aren't. In other words, the regulations for the state of Nevada may allow you to also work in California, but not in New York, and vice versa.

Actually this isn't 100% correct.
In Canada, a foreign trained PN's education is evaluated by the provincial College of LPNs (our governing body). Depending upon if the education requires provincial guidelines, the nurse is then permited to write our national exam.
