Since PN is not a recognized credential in the Philippines you may not be eligible for a US license. You do not apply for the NCLEX but for licensing by examination. The NCLEX is just a step in the process. I can tell you that you will not be eligible in IN (local license required ) or NJ (LPN not a recognized credential in PH) and several other states nor would you be eligible to endorse back to these states if you were able to be licensed in another jurisdiction.
I believe NV is also requiring local license as of Jan 2013.
LVN is only in CA & TX all other states it is LPN.
more importantly the lpn/lvn program is one year in the USA with a high pass rate of over 80% why travel thousands of miles and have a dismal pass rate, and tons of red tape to go to this school?[/quote']I wish i could. But there are no schools here in our area (reno, nv) that offers lpn program, only rn. And they make it so difficult for aspiring students like me to be eligible to their program. Sad but true. I tried but they only get few students. They only get few students with the highest rating in the entrance exam

Hi,
I'm a green card holder here in Nevada USA and I'm planning to take a Practical Nursing course in St. Augustine (Manila, Philippines) 2 yr course.
I'm just wondering if I could take the NCLEX-PN in manila right after completing the course.
Thank you!
