Can I still get into the nursing program?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I took anatomy and physiology 1 and got a C. I took anatomy and physiology 2 during the summer and I failed the class. It was so intense and I couldn't keep up. I retook a+p 2 and got a C. I was in a rush to complete my pre requisites that I took Chem online and then I withdrew because I would've failed. I tried hard for Chem but evrytime I went in to take a test, I would leave so confident only to find out I failed. All of my other classes have A's and B's. My gpa as of now is a 3.1. I still have to take Chem and micro before I can apply for nursing. In order to get in, we must have a gpa higher than 2.5 and at least a c in all pre reqs. My school, county college of Morris, doesn't require you to take a test to get in. Do I still have a chance of getting into the program? Does the W (withdraw) look bad for Chem? I know I screwed up and I take full responsibility. This past year has been extremely difficult due to personal issue at home and I feel like I screwed up the one thing I want most. What can I do to increase my chances of getting in? Some advisors said its not worth retaking some courses because I will only get half of the points since I'm retaking them. I'm freaking out and I feel so lost. I don't know what to do. I'm afraid I've spent two years and thousands of dollars for nothing. I need advice!!

I know CCM, a family member of mine went there. I don't live around the area anymore though. If you get A's in chem and micro you'll show them that you learned how to fix your past mistakes. But ..not having a good foundation in A&P is going to hurt when you're in the nursing classes, because it builds off that, so only if you can handle it, I'd re-take A&P both for getting half the points and for helping you in nursing.

And don't listen 100% to advisers!

P.S. Don't forget you still have your interview. Be ON POINT for that!! Watch tips on Youtube!

I attend CCM nursing and took all prereq's there. I think you can still get in, if you get A's moving forward. I took Keating for Chem in 5 weeks and she was great! I took Micro in 16 weeks and it was challenging, but so incredibly interesting. The "w" will hurt you, but there was someone in my class last semester that retook two classes and she got in. She failed out after the final exam, however, and I think the science classes are good indication of how you will do in the nursing program, so put the time and effort in now to do well. I only just completed nursing 1 and will start 2 next week.
