Can I still furthermore to become a RN?

I am 35 married with two kids ever since I was a child I have wanted and wish to be a nurse,i become an auxiliary nurse since 2005 and up till date,12 years ago,i get angry and cry each time when a new nurse is been brought to me as my senior,i do all sorts of things and even more and better,i wish to continue my education pls what can I do?

What country are you in? I'm not familiar with the term auxiliary nurse. That may direct the replies so that they are relevant to you.

Also, new nurses aren't brought to you as a senior if they have a level of licensure that is higher than yours- they are brought in as your new team member.

I have no idea how it works in Nigeria, but it seems that you need to have more schooling to be a nurse. Is that possible? If not, why?

RoseQueen, I think it's like a CNA. A couple years ago I found this British reality show on You Tube where celebrities were shadowing "auxiliary nurses," and it seemed like they were doing ADLs and other UAP type tasks. Plus in the UK an Enrolled Nurse is like an LPN, so that's what conclusion I drew.

OP, have you contacted any nursing schools to find out some info? Is your husband supportive? In the US, it's VERY common for people in their 30s to go to nursing school. Many are starting a 2nd career, or had been stay-at-home moms.
