Can I retake NCLEX in Maine after 12 years?

Published

I graduated in 2000 in Maine, took and failed the NCLEX-RN once after graduating. I haven't retaken the test. I recently took the Hurst one week review and want to retest. Can I ? Or is there a time limit for retaking the NCLEX? Will I have to take more classes? Is the review all I need? Worried that I will have to take more classes to be eligible to retest.

Have you contacted the BON and checked requirements enabling you to resit? Some states require refresher course when a certain time lapse from graduating

I have already taken a refresher course......

As long as your state has given permission for you to resit the exam and you have received your ATT from pearsonvue then there is nothing stopping you from sitting the exam

You have to check with the Board of Nursing for Maine. They are the decision makers!
