Can I get into nursing school with a 3.1?

Hey all, stressing out lately. I'm applying to the Bellevue College nursing program with a cumulative 3.1 GPA and an 82 on my TEAS, which I think I am going to retake this month. Anyone get in to nursing school with these stats?! I need a little faith!

It depends on how much weight the school gives the teas and gpa. The school I want to go to, the teas is 59% of the application weight. If your school has a high percentage put on the teas I think you could if you really rock that test. Good luck.

I got in with a 3.1. However, I also had a 96 on the TEAS, and my school puts a lot of weight into the personal statement portion of the application along with interviews. So it is possible, but I'd have to say it depends on the school.

I think it depends on the way the school weighs everything (like the others have said). Are there any schools in your area that work off of a lottery system?

Contact your school and see what they think. Remember, you're not trying to hit the minimum requirements, you're competing against the other applicants for a limited number of spots. So if your scores/GPA are better than the other applicants, you'll be accepted.

It depends on the school. Ask your advisor what was the average GPA for the previous semester was because it varies. I got accepted into a BSN program with a 3.4 overall and a science GPA of 3.7. You need to have faith because you never know how everyone else's grades are. I was actually not admitted at first but then I received an email 2 days before the semester and there were open seats. It was by the grace of God. I am finishing up my first year and I still can't believe I got accepted.
