Can I apply for a student position with an RN license?

Hi,

So I seen a position at one of the area hospitals. It appears to be a student position because under license requirements it says " limited permit holder". I have my RN license. Should I even bother applying? Would they overlook me because I have an actual license or think I'm stupid?

May I ask what type of position this is and why you are interested in doing a student position when you already have your RN license?

I would think that even if you apply for the job, and they really need a student to apply vs. RN, then they will just ignore your application and move on to the next person who applies. However, there is no harm in trying for sure.

This is a job for those that are still actively in the program. You will not be considered, and honestly, why would you want to be? It is basically a tech job.

I will try to be gentle in how I say this... I have no thoughts on the position you are considering, but a potential employer may question your competence based on your poor grammar... ("I seen...") You might want to be careful about that in your communication with potential employers..

Yeah I agree with all of you. Just wanted to see what you all thought. Thank you. I've just been having a hard time finding a job and was thinking maybe this would be a way to somehow get my foot in the door.

Thank you. I review every letter or email I send to potential employers for grammatical errors. This was just a quick post.

If you are looking to get a foot in the door, look at their unit secretary and admissions positions.
