Can I apply to a Military Hospital (as a civilian) as soon as I graduate from Nursing?

I will be graduating with my BSN in Nursing in December of 2019. (YAY!)

I really want to work in an overseas Military Hospital, specifically in South Korea.

I was wondering if I would be eligible for the job as soon as I graduate nursing school? Do they usually accept new graduate nurses? Or will I need to gather a few years of experience in another hospital before being eligible?

Also, how does housing work for employees in military hospitals overseas?

Also, if you have worked in a Military Hospital, tell me about your experiences and how it's similar/different from other hospitals!

From what I know of the Air Force medical facilities in South Korea, they are super small. They have an OR and perform minor procedures there, but I would not call them hospitals by any stretch of the imagination. Any of the big or even average stuff gets shipped out to either a local civilian provider or via aerovac to a larger U.S. medical treatment facility. You're going to be sacrificing acuity for sure to go to South Korea. Most GS nursing jobs that I'm aware of require 1 year of experience, but maybe you'll find one that doesn't.

You can look for openings on usajobs.gov, but I haven't seen a GS position that didn't require a year of experience unless it was specifically for new grads.
