Can I apply for a job even without my Perm License?

Published

Hi. I just passed the NCLEX-RN this week. Took the test on the 11th and saw my name on the CA BRN website today. I was just wondering if I can apply for a job (a health fair job) even though I haven't received my permanent license yet?

Please help me! Thanks!

I don't see why not. Just tell them you already took NCLEX and are awaiting your license in the mail. Also, you probably have a license number from the BON website you could give them.

Oh okay! Thanks! :) God Bless!

Yes. Most places will only ask for your license number, not to see your actual license. In fact, you should never let anyone copy your license or give a copy of your license to anyone because of the possibility of identity theft. If you have to give a copy, be sure to write 'VOID' across the front.

Yes! Many places that hire new grads extend offers before the applicants have even graduated.
