while i agree with the pp who said it's worth treating, i wouldn't give the idea of it keeping you from getting a job another thought.
if hospitals only hired completely healthy people with no medical history (is there really such a thing??), the nursing shortage would be a whole lot worse. (not to mention the discrimination suits!) they just want to know you're capable of performing your job duties.

Will High Blood Pressure keep a person from getting hired at a hospital? I start in December at a local hospital as a PCT. Gave a 30 day notice to my current employer. & was canned one day after giving notice.
The reason I ask is my blood pressure top number ranges 140 to 160/ & the bottom number is 88 to 100. Not asking for medical advice in anyway. Just wondering if blood pressure with those numbers can keep one from passing a Hospital Physical?
