Can FL. RN's give Botox?

I was wondering if anyone had any updated information regarding the topic of Botox and Dermal Fillers (Restylane). Can RN's legally administer Botox? There seems to be a lot of "gray" in this area. Any info. would be helpful. I understand that there are places to go to get trained. The big question is...Is this legal in the State of Florida? Thanks!!

No although it depends on your state nursing practice act. In my state we arent allowed to push certain meds for anesthesia. As far as Botox, I dont know although I would imagine that this would be more of a procedure that is out of the scope of practice of a RN, although I guess it could be considered medication administration.
