Can we fight?

currently at bhs in san antonio, our patient patients/nurses on our unit is often 6-7:1. not safe to our patients and our nurses. can we form an organization to protest it?

Nurses in California have the help and backing of a very powerful organization called the CNA (California Nurses Association). Therefore, nurses in CA have legally mandated ratios of 1:5 in med/surg and 1:4 in telemetry.

Hi, TheCommuter. How can CA nurses get CNA's support? I think TNA never heard our voice. I suggest that every nurse here writes to TNA.

I am about three hours from SA, in Eagle Pass, on a med/surge tele unit and we take seven patients and there are rumors that may change to eight.
