Can your DS-230 application get denied by immigration?

QUESTION:

Filling up of the DS-230 forms comes after the I-140 is approved by the USCIS right? So, once the I-140 is approved and ones papers have been transferred to National Visa Center, that's the time that the DS-230 are filled up right?

I was just wondering if there have been cases where the DS-230 has been denied and on what grounds?

I would love to hear from any of you who have knowledge or experience on this.

Sure DS230 can be denied, all depending on what they see when they receive them. Until your PD is being processed they will not ask for the forms

I thought so... Do you have any idea on the possible reasons of the denial?
