Does anyone know what this is about?

Who do i contact to get the money? Is it too late now?

You have until the 14th if you failed the CPNE, and then paid for and took the CPNE on another occasion during the class period (February 19, 2011 to March 5, 2015) and did not pass the CPNE on at least one more occasion. If this applies, you are eligible. Site is here: Castellaw, et al. vs. Excelsior College Class Action - Hamlin & Burton Liability Management, Inc..

I found the site via a simple Google search. Good luck.

Generally you are contacted if a member of the class that includes instructions to opt out or if you must opt in. Part of the settlement agreement is generally the defendant must release contact information for those included as part of the class. The plaintiff must send written notice via email or USPS advising of the pending settlement agreement and then once a judge approves the settlement.

In theory you should have been notified if eligible but it's not shocking if you were not

So, one had to fail CPNE twice to be eligible? I failed once during that time period, and I am planning on taking my second test next month. Am I not qualified for the money?

Correct. You are not eligible. You had to have your second attempt (and failed your second attempt) on or before March 5, 2015. I suspect this is not a very large class of qualified members.

i c. Just for curiosity, I am wondering how much the plaintiffs got. I mean those who filed class actions. These people had the gut to take it to the court. I have to guess that it's gotta be more money for them.

From your link above:

The school settled a class action lawsuit and agreed to pay $200 for each time a student failed the Clinical Performance in Nursing Exam.

And the school will give $2,500 to each student affected for their time and effort.

The time period is Feb.19th, 2011 to March 5, 2015.

The deadline to file a claim is June 4.

Excelsior College admitted no wrongdoing in settling this suit.

If failed 3x no chance at another retake. If failed 2x only one more attempt before dismissed from the program

$200 per failure and the failure stands. Only the named plaintiffs of record get the additional $2500. All qualified members were to be notified by email or USPS. If you qualified you would have been notified back in March. As you did not make a second attempt before March 5 you are not a member of the settlement class
