how can i cancel my online application?
i accidentally applied cvs-ny through online (cgfns)
i did not intend to apply online but it somehow did..
i want to cancel it because i want to apply it through mail... because i know this will be much safer i think...
anyway in the online application, they told me to print the documents that are similar to the application form and send them through mail...
can i just apply by mail?? is it ok??
i will check the box that asks me "have you ever applied to cgfns?"
is it ok?

I needed to change some things on my application for my VisaScreen, I called them & they said print the docs off, send them by snail mail, with a covering letter.
Worked just fine & they updated the Internet too as well as emailing me to say they had received my forms & correspondance.
In fact, I really have to say that they were incredibly efficient -I know you lot won't believe me - but they were - truly!!
so you mean i will not print them (the one that needs to be printed in online application) but print cvs-ny form (that is found in the cvs handbook) and send them by snail mail?
would that be ok?

I have a very impotant question, are you actually planning to work in NY? If not, then do not go this route. The CVS is only good for NY, and is not accepted by any other state, and NY does not accept anything else, either.
You are new here, so just checking before you spend all of the time for something that you really do not need. There are other states that will issue you a license without a SSN#.
And if you wish to work in NY, then great. But do decide before you send in anything.
yes, i am planning to work there. i already decided to work there for the past few months already.
so how can i cancel the online application? coz i just want to apply it through mail....
thanks!
You can't actually cancel it (I know because I asked that when I needed to update the info on my file - long story - but changed agency, passed N-CLEX etc & needed to add that to the original application) but you can update them with the information you really wanted by going down the snail mail track as described. Just remember the covering letter explaining what happened & saying that this new info supercedes anything else they may have on file for you.
I'm assuming you didn't actually pay yet? if you did then you'll have to call them because that could be more complicated.
As far as choosing NY etc I didn't go into that because I assumed you had decided already. I was just answering about how to change info for CGFNS.
I managed to change my info exactly as I described above & it was not a problem. I now have my VisaScreen Certificate safely in my hands -took 8 weeks from posting the application snail mail from the UK to getting my Certificate in back in the post.
nope. i did not pay for it yet. so its not that complicated i think.
well, also in online application, i needed to print the documents and send them through snail mail.
the information are all correct though..
i received my cgfns ID number.. that will be permanent? wvwn though i will cancel that? so do i need to place that number in my application form? and check it in the box that asks me "have u ever applied before"?

I think you don't have to cancel it because you will also be required to register online even if you only applied for it by mail. You can send your application through mail and see your status online with your current registration.
ok. thanks!!
anyway since the information are all correct so i decided to use the cgfns identication number in applying through mail.. since in that they require that number if i have one.
