Hello, I am a soldier in the US Army and inquiring about a Degree in Nursing. I would like to know if anyone can tell me if there is an Online Program to become an LPN? I've noticed that majority are for people that already are LPN or RN. Thanks!

I don't think that there is. I researched the heck out of this one before getting my degree. Most, if not all, require you to have clinical time in an educational setting.
There used to be school that you could do through correspondence and you would have to get a hospital or medical facility to sponsor you for the clinical experience. I think that they may have discontinued these types of programs.
I could be wrong. But I'm pretty sure that online programs don't exist without some sort of clinical experience. Past experiences (coreman, paramedic, EMT, PCT, CNA) wouldn't qualify as clinical experience.

You may be able to take some of the classes online, but the clinicals need to be in a hospital/clinic/etc setting....hands on!
Really, would you want someone to be your nurse knowing they only gave a shot to Mr. Doe who was a virtual patient, and the nurse only had to click the spot where the injection should be?
If you can't take classes now, you can take online classes toward nursing....Anatomy & Physiology, English, Algebra, Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Speech, etc.....different schools require different courses.
It would be your best bet to look at a school you would possibly attend, and take the required courses then. Remember that most schools require a 5-year limit on A&P. So, if it would be a while before you could attend school, you may want to wait to take A&P.
Good luck, and thank you for what you are doing for this country by being a soldier in the Army.

I don't think there is and I hope there is not. There's nothing wrong with taking classes online but hands on clinicals cannot and should not be done any other way and you shouldn't settle for less. Good Luck.

Go for RN many of the prerequisite classes are offered online.
Contact your Education Center at your post. They should be able to tell you your options.
BTW, my husband is in the Army:)
