Hi everyone,
I've been thinking about applying to Touro after the completion of my A&P prerequisites. I've heard it's a bit expensive and only provisionally accredited but have also heard some great things. Can anyone let me know a little bit about the program. How are the instructors, is it a relatively difficult program. Any information will be helpful.
I know this is a long time from the original post but I was wondering about the application process for Touro University, NV. How competitive is it to get into?I was thinking of applying there last year and the year before. It's not that hard to get info. on them, just go to their website and it gives you an idea on how the nursing program is. The good news is: they have FULL accreditation from the state of NV (from the last time I checked last year). If you think they're competitive to get into, well, just check out how MUCH $$$ they charge per credit and for the whole program!! Let's just say, THERE WON'T be a line of people trying to get in! Touro and all these private schools need a WAKE UP call badly! STOP overcharging people for a degree that just doesn't guarantee jobs anymore! H-e-l-l-o ???
I've called and spoke to them about general information. I know it's $32,000 for the program. I guess to me that doesn't seem too bad because school out here in Califormia are a lot more expensive than that if you're looking for an accelerated program.
But I wanted more info on the application process, aside from the pre req's and deadlines, more about how long it took to hear back and if its competitive to get into. Also financial aid, private or not? If anyone has been through the process please let me know.
Thanks

Any information about the application process would be appreciated. I'm trying to get into the Nov2010 class.
