Hi there!

I am a foreign nurse aspiring to go to America. Can anyone tell me of any information about Cambridge Healthcare? It's base is in MD. I would like to know if it's a good agency. I believe they're somewhere in Baltimore.

Thanks a lot.

Hello to all CHC candidates! Anyone of you have any good news from CHC since Brian's important update last May 7?

Hello. Quick Update. Last April 2 2010, Patti Mowery (Director of Education and Recruitment Consultant Cambridge Healthcare) emailed me to revise my resume to include any ICU experience I've had. Im an ER nurse. I did revise my resume and along with it i asked if there are still no job positions available for me. She replied " It is not safe to say there are no job positions available for you. Finding placement is a little more difficult due to the the economy, however there are still needs for nurses with your experience. We have presented your resume, and continue to present it to many of our facilities. We hope to have good news for you soon. From Patti" To that I said thanks and hoping for a positive feedback. I dont know what to make of it. I am barely keeping my hopes up. It's been 5 months of waiting (since November). I resigned from my job already! To those who resigned from their jobs due to CHC's promise of deployment, where are you now and what are your plan Bs?

Same here im a CHC CANDIDATE From FOCUS, And i was interviewed by CULBERS0N HOSPITAL(van horn texas) thru PATTI, Im still waiting for the verdict. also,ShE told me to update the NURSING SKILLS CHECKLIST. We are so delayed for deployment and my visa will expire on AUGUST 1,2010.

To westmack,RN: hope you will make it so that the others will have their turn already. do you know the status of a couple from Medical City also CHC candidates from Focus? are they already in the US ?

@k3lbj: thanks, we have to cross our fingers :D About the couple, i have no idea. But focus told me last march that there was one nurse deployed. also, Im c0nstantly texting with two of our colleagues for any updates. I think there are about 30 of us awaiting deployment. Last email to me by cambridge => we are hoping for a very good news for you soon.. (i jst hope that it will come asap) :)

anybody any news? why no guys here recently?

Hi amanda, any update from cambridge? when is the expiration date of your visa?

:( my visa will expire in 2 weeks, i found this article. just wanna share it =====If it is, in fact, just the visa in one's passport that

has expired and not the H1B status, itself, then

there is no need for concern. One may find it

helpful to review our article on the difference

between visa and status, Immigration Law

Basics: About Visas and Status.

©MurthyDotCom

The visa is a travel document only. If the visa in

one's passport expires, one would need to apply

for another visa at a U.S. consulate abroad the

next time s/he travels outside the United States.

©MurthyDotCom

Generally, one's legal status in the U.S. depends

upon the expiration date on the I-94 card, written

by the immigration officer at the port of entry. As

long as the latest I-94 card (either a small white

card typically stapled in the passport or an

updated one located at the bottom of the latest

approval notice) is currently valid, and one is

continuing to work for the sponsoring employer

under the terms of the petition, then s/he is

legally permitted to be in the U.S., whether or not

the visa in the passport has expired. If it is, in fact,

the status (as indicated on the I-94) that has

expired, one should contact an attorney

immediately to discuss available options.

@westmack: any news from CHC? have you asked them what's their plan re your visa which is expiring in two weeks?

@WESTMACK,RN - i think your article pertains to those who are already in the US when the visa expires...

Anybody heard about the lawsuit Focus filed against CHC?

Specializes in ICU med sure.

@ SgtMack : what I heard early last year was it's CHC who filed against Focus. Maybe Focus had counter filed vs CHC.

really? what grounds would CHC have to file a case against Focus? what i heard was since there was a lot of Focus candidates that got stuck in the philippines without jobs (because CHC told people to quit their jobs already) this forced Focus to file a suit against CHC? what's your version of this?

@SgtMack: I heard it was re fee collection & not bcoz of stucked candidates. the latter is very possible coz Focus was one of the first affiliates CHC had here in the PI before the current ones.
