Calling all former and present CCN FNP students!

Published

Hello my fellow nurses!

I am applying to CCN FNP program with start date in November 2017. I have been emailed this FNP Practium site application. I tried calling bunch of clinics but I've had no luck in finding a clinical site. I live Niles, IL and I work for Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. If you guys have any suggestions of MD or NP near this area that would like to have students, please let me know. I am planning to attend Addison, IL campus, although the program is completely online.

Also, any advise for the program is much appreciated!

Thank you and good luck to everyone!

Hello,

I have applied for CCN FNP for Nov 2017. I am in San Antonio, Texas. The school does hav a clinical coordinator, probably can look at the past students clinical sites and share that with you. Going in person has helped me; but since the practicum will not start until a year or so, it is difficult to count on it.

Best of luck.

For application purposes, you only have to identify a POTENTIAL site. It does not have to be a practice you have even contacted personally yet (although it is helpful to start early). During this part of the process, all they will do is verify that it is a real medical practice and they will either look on the website or call the practice to determine if they are a family medicine practice (can also be internal medicine or urgent care). You have to secure an acutal site at least 6 months before you begin clinicals, so you have plenty of time to locate preceptors.
