Other than responses from people who are in the know, I would suggest you look at the major employment websites to get a feel for what is available. A good website is called http://www.indeed.com. You can also try http://www.monster.com and http://www.careerbuilder.com. There are also other nursing employment websites that can be found with a search on google. Good luck in finding good job prospects.

Hello everyone,
I am an LPN in Vancouver, BC who has been working 3 years in acute care (othopedic surgery, general surgery and sub-acute medicine)
I am seriously considering relocating to California (Pasadena area) and would like to get some feedback mostly on income. I currently am making approx. $50,000 with minimal overtime and would like to make at least that much in California.
I would be open to working in other areas and know that additional education may be necessary. Some of my areas of interests are: Dialysis, wound care, breastfeeding education, medical esthetics.
