Calling All First Year Med-Surg RN's!

Published

How is everyone doing on their first job as an RN?

Where is everyone working? Tell us the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Those who are having a great time, let us know where the best place is to work :)

Thanks,

I just wanted to kind of add on to what I had said before. I'm now two months into my job, I switched from days to nights and I really love it! I'll be on my own in 3 weeks and I actually feel like I'll be prepared!

WannaBNursey, your post was very reassuring!! Thanks!

Hi guys, how's everyone doing? I feel like things have definitely changed after the 6 month mark! I'm able to function on days off now and although the rotating schedule is still really tough, I don't mind going into work as much! I was talking to the Nurse Director the other day and she was like "you're feeling like you're starting to get it, right?" But I definitely think it took this long to get to the point where I feel like I'm managing everything pretty well and I'm starting to enjoy it. Hope you're all doing well!
