California's newest nurse

I had 12 SATA

1 math (100% positive that I got it wrong, because I made up a story and divided my answer by 6)

alot of infection control and delegation

I used kaplan to prepare and I think kaplan helped me gain confidence in answering questions; although I will say that on the NCLEX it was not the questions that were tricky, but the answers.

The computer turned off after 76 questions and I didn't think I had proved myself either way.

I walked out feeling confused

I took my test on monday the 28th in California and found out I passed on Saturday morning. Those 5 days were horrible as the questions were haunting me and I could not get them off of my mind.

I just wanted to share because I know I kept coming onto this thread to compare with the rest of you.

Feel free to ask me any questions and good luck!!!

A guy in my class just said the same thing, that the questions were short but the competing information to choose from as an answer was what made it hard.

I guess my question is this: everyone says it's awful, but is the CONTENT (not the questions) like what all these review books have in them? I have only read about 3 people's comments on this site as saying "if you know the material, you can do it" or "the questions weren't unreasonable". Everyone else is shell-shocked. My friend said the books he has in front of him would not help him after taking the test himself - meaning that nothing could have helped him. So, geesh - what the heck? Are we talking about material no one knows or are we talking about just technically close-to-each other material that's hard?

Please clarify.

Congratulations. One thing is for sure, if I pass this, I'm never going further with any more education if it requires a test like this. :^)
